Hey everyone! I’m here with a suggestion that some of you might like, while others might not be so keen on it. Still, I think it’s something worth considering.
I believe the xat logo itself tells a story that spans over 20 years. The blue Saturn planet with its yellow ring is undoubtedly iconic. However, I feel that while xat has evolved over the years, especially when it comes to its smilies, the logo itself hasn’t really evolved alongside them.
With that in mind, I’d like to suggest giving the logo a visual refresh that aligns more closely with the look and feel of modern xat smilies. The idea is to maintain a stronger visual connection and consistency between the logo, the current smiley style, and everything that makes up the world of NXAT.EU.
Here’s my proposal! I wanted to keep the logo as close to the original as possible while incorporating some of the visual elements we see in today’s smilies, especially that glossy highlight at the top of the planet. I also gave the text a similar effect to make it stand out more and help it feel more connected to the overall smiley aesthetic.
Just as a side note, I feel like the current logo is kind of like the classic . It gives off that nostalgic vibe of what xat used to be, which is great, but I think we could use a little refresh.
Imagine if xat brought back the current logo for anniversaries as a nod to its vintage era. That way, we could keep that nostalgic connection while still giving the brand a fresh, more modern look for everyday use.
What do you guys think? Do you feel this would be an improvement, or would you rather keep the classic logo as it is?
Of course, I understand that this is just a suggestion for xat, and there are other factors to consider, such as trademark registration and other potential limitations. I’m not overlooking any of that; I simply wanted to share an idea and hear your thoughts!
